The original ICEHOTEL has been a favourite for winter visitors to Swedish Lapland, selling out regularly since it first opened in 1989. Now, however, it's possible to enjoy the experience of sleeping on a bed of ice year-round, with the addition of ICEHOTEL 365.
Located immediately next to the site of the winter ICEHOTEL, on the banks of the Torne River in Swedish Lapland, ICEHOTEL 365 offers the chance to experience one of Scandinavia's most iconic experiences, even at the height of summer. Kept cool, ironically, by the power of the sun, you can expect all the same spectacular carvings as the original, winter-only hotel, but with the addition of Deluxe Art Suites which, as well as being available for both winter and summer bookings, add in the luxuries of an en-suite warm room with shower, bath and sauna.
The permanent structure for ICEHOTEL 365 is also now the home for the famous ICEBAR, where delicious cocktails are served in ice glasses, all watched over by magnificent and judiciously lit sculptures.
And, while winter stays are given over to the likes of snowmobiling, husky safaris and Northern Lights tours, in summer attention turns to white-water rafting, wilderness skills and walks under the Midnight Sun. You'll also enjoy the same superb standard of food as the winter hotel, but with an emphasis on the summer season – the multi-course tasting menu at the Chef's Table on the Veranda is a special highlight.
