Set between spectacular fjords and mountains on the west coast of Senja, this holiday and activity resort was recently renovated and offers the perfect base to watch the Northern Lights or the Midnight Sun.

Eat

In summer months, traditional Norwegian dishes are offered at the resort restaurant, Storbrygga. Based on the seafood and local specialties, fish and shellfish favourites are conjured up freshly, everyday. Incorporating local traditions, menus are filled with seasonal ingredients and creative dishes. In the winter months, lunch and dinner must be pre-ordered, and breakfast is served in bed.

Sleep

Rooms here are kitted out apartment style, with a range of suites and hotel rooms on offer. Larger suites are one of the best options; accommodating up to six people in separate rooms and featuring a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, living room with views across the harbor and a private veranda. Smaller suites are furnished with twin beds, a kitchenette equipped for four people, a private bathroom and an extra sofa bed whilst the hotel rooms are ideal for smaller parties, featuring comfortable beds and a private bathroom.

Home to Norway's most spectacular scenery, dramatic landscapes and wildlife, there is plenty to do at this holiday and activity resort for any type of traveler. Hotel facilities include a hot tub, sauna and lighthouse, where snacks are served with 360 degree views across Hamn and the opportunity to spot the Northern Lights. Activities on site and in the surrounding area include skiing, cycling, fishing, hiking and water sports, with an abundance of attractions nearby, including Senja Trollet and Crow Castle.
