Day 1 » Fly to Bergen
Begin your journey with a short direct flight to Bergen. On arrival, make your way to your centrally located hotel in town – either by taxi, Flybussen or rail – before checking in. Speak with a specialist if you prefer to pre-book your transfer service. The rest of the day is at leisure. With UNESCO World Heritage charm, the wharf area of Bryggen is perhaps a good place to start your explorations. Lined with colourful wooden houses that date back to the 14th century, it's the perfect place to wander the narrow alleys, admire the traditional architecture and explore the shops, restaurants and galleries.

Day 2 » Day at leisure in Bergen
Today is a full day dedicated to exploring Bergen. To get you started, we've included a return ticket on Floyen – the famous funicular – that gives you the best panoramic views of Bergen from above. The journey takes just eight minutes, and if you so wish, there is a delightful restaurant at the top to enjoy a scenic lunch. Back on ground level, be sure to check out the lively Bergen Fish Market. Here you can see a wide variety of fresh seafood, including fish, shellfish, and crustaceans. You can also sample some of the local delicacies, such as smoked salmon and fish soup. And, if you're a fan of classical music, you won't want to miss the Edvard Grieg Museum. This museum is dedicated to the life and work of Norway's most famous composer.

Day 3 » Exploring Hardangerfjord
Enjoy an early breakfast in your hotel before the adventure really kicks off from Bergen railway station. Sit back and enjoy a scenic train journey towards Voss, including panoramic views of cascading waterfalls, deep fjords, and stunning nature aboard the famed Bergensbanen. If you prefer to break your journey, you can overnight in Voss and enjoy the Voss Gondola, white water rafting or a long hike in Naeroyfjord. Then, enjoy a bus ride through Espelandsdalen, boasting idyllic orchards, eventually leading to the charming village of Ulvik. If you opt for an overnight stay here, you'll have a choice of an immersive cider tasting experience, kayak tour or RIB Boat excursion. From here, you'll embark on a delightful cruise on the Hardangerfjord. Towering mountains and cascading waterfalls will line the route, providing a feast for the eyes.
By lunchtime, you'll arrive in vibrant Eidfjord – gateway to Voringsfossen waterfall – where a short bus ride will take you up to the mountain plateau where you'll experience today's highlight. Plunging dramatically into the canyon over 180 metres below with breathtaking force and beauty, you'll have the chance to stroll over the waterfall on a unique foot bridge. Return to Eidfjord before boarding a boat for a captivating cruise showcasing the rugged beauty of Norway's second-largest fjord. Arrive in picturesque Norheimsund this evening where you'll overnight. As well as welcome rest, this will also give you the opportunity to experience a typical fjord-side town.

Day 4 » At leisure in Norheimsund & Bergen
Today is at leisure and to really relax and enjoy this fjord-side town. We recommend a visit to Galleri Iversen art gallery and the Hardanger Maritime Museum. If the weather is favourable, head to the town's small beach and swim in the fjord, or simply sit by the fjord-side, admiring the views with a book. Then, this evening it's time to return to Bergen. First, you'll make the most of a picturesque stop in Steindalsfossen, where you can walk under the waterfall and admire the views down the valley. Then, your bus trip towards Bergen will include scenes of stunning mountains and fjords as you arrive back in time for a final night in the city.
