Day 1 » Fly to Bergen
Your holiday begins with a flight to Bergen, where you’ll hop on board a shuttle transfer for the short trip to the city centre and your harbourside hotel. Day 2 » Depart Bergen
With the ship not departing until the evening, you’ll have a full day to explore. Be sure to take the Floibanen Funicular for mountaintop views across the city and its surrounding peaks and fjords, wander old cobblestone streets and get a taste of local life at the bustling fish market. You’ll also want to explore the Bryggen Wharf, a window onto a time when Bergen was one of the most important cities in Northern Europe – a cornerstone of the powerful Hanseatic League. As the day draws to a close, it’s time to board to your Havila ship to begin your journey north.

Stand and gaze out to the horizon, knowing the just the sea and the remote Svalbard archipelago separates you from the North Pole.
