Embark on a soulful adventure with Havila Voyages' Roots and Blues cruise. This unique voyage combines the breathtaking beauty of Norway's fjords with the captivating rhythms of blues and roots music. Starting and ending in the vibrant city of Bergen, travel along the coast exploring UNESCO World Heritage Sites, spot majestic marine wildlife, learn about the traditions and ways of life of Norway's indigenous Sami and marvel at diverse and breathtaking landscapes as you tick off the likes of historic Trondheim, the fjord of Geiranger, the mountainous backdrops of the Lofoten Islands and the arctic town of Tromsø. To round it all off, you'll be treated to world-class blues and roots artists performing live onboard in several concerts every day.

*This itinerary can be done as a shorter northbound or southbound voyage starting in Bergen or Kirkenes respectively. All journeys will depart in April 2025.

  • Day 1 » UK to Bergen

    Fly to Bergen and enjoy a seamless transfer to your centrally located hotel. After settling in, spend your afternoon exploring the vibrant Hanseatic harbour front. If you have time, take a scenic ride up the Floibanen funicular for breathtaking panoramic views of the city, fjord and mountains.

  • Day 2 » Explore Bergen & depart on Havila

    After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning and afternoon exploring this charming town. Stroll through the bustling fish market for a taste of local seafood, or delve into the town's history and culture at one of its many museums. Before embarking on your coastal voyage, take the opportunity to soak up the local atmosphere. Later this evening, board Havila Polaris and settle into your stylish cabin, before enjoy a delicious dinner in the main restaurant as you sail north along the rugged Norwegian coastline. Havrand restaurant features a rotating menu inspired by the four coastal regions you'll explore.

    After dinner, you're invited to experience an evening of live blues and roots musical performances on board, featuring the likes of The Jimmys, Muddy Waters Club Allstars Band and many more captivating artists.

  • Day 3 » Ålesund & Geirangerfjord

    Awaken to a delightful breakfast as you sail towards Ålesund. Renowned for its Art Nouveau architecture, Ålesund is the cultural heart of the Sunnmøre region. Embark on an optional excursion to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Geirangerfjord, where towering mountains, cascading waterfalls and deep blue waters create a breathtaking spectacle.
