A winter-activity icon refreshed for summer

» 4-hour excursion. Operates 11 June to 1 Nov.

» Price from: £85

Experience all the adrenaline and thrill of dogsledding, just without winter’s chill. It all begins with a chance to introduce yourself to your happy team, including a visit to the impossibly adorable puppies. Having been socialised since birth and bred for their friendless, they’ll only be too excited to say hello. Under the expert steerage of your guide, you’ll then mush out of Longyearbyen into the beautiful Advent Valley, stopping along the way to let the dogs drink as you take in the views of the mountains, Arctic vegetation and the region’s mining relics. Along the way, there’s a good chance that you’ll spot everything from reindeer and foxes to flocks of migratory birds. Lastly, alongside drinks and biscuits, you’ll also be treated to return accommodation transfers.
