Day 1 » Fly to Rovaniemi
Your trip begins by flying to Rovaniemi, the gateway to Finnish Lapland, located almost directly on the Arctic Circle. On arrival, a private transfer will take you from the airport to Arctic Panorama Resort – a short journey of around 15 minutes. The resort is discreetly tucked away on the slopes of Ounasvaara fell, featuring a collection of sleek, timber-clad chalets with north-facing, floor-to-ceiling windows offering uninterrupted views of the snowy forests (and, with a little luck, the Northern Lights). Your outdoor thermal clothing will be ready for you to collect, keeping you warm and comfortable in the crisp Arctic air throughout your stay. Once you’ve settled in and enjoyed a welcome drink, you may wish to unwind in the sauna or the Jacuzzi.
Then, in the evening, enjoy your first buffet dinner at the Panorama Restaurant, which brings together authentic Lappish ingredients and refined Mediterranean cuisine – think fresh Arctic char infused with wild herbs, or handmade pasta with mushrooms from the nearby forests. Before heading to bed, be sure to check the skies for your first sighting of the Northern Lights. You can also opt into a Northern Lights alert system, so if the aurora does make an appearance, you’ll promptly be notified.

Day 2 » Snowmobile safari & Northern Lights hunt by reindeer sleigh
Enjoy a hearty buffet breakfast this morning as you prepare for an action-packed day ahead. First, you’ll set off on a snowmobile safari, gliding through the enchanting Lappish landscapes in exhilarating fashion. In order to drive a snowmobile, you must be a minimum of 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license. Children aged 5-13 and those less than 140cm in height will sit in a sleigh pulled by the guide’s snowmobile, while children under 10 must be accompanied in the sleigh by an adult. Typically, two adults share a snowmobile, with one driving and another sitting behind, with a chance to swap roles along the way. However, for an extra supplement, it’s possible to drive your own snowmobile if you’d prefer.
After some time relaxing back at base and another delicious dinner at the Panorama Restaurant, you’ll head out on an evening Northern Lights hunt, travelling by reindeer sleigh – a truly unique experience. If the skies are clear and the solar activity is sufficient, you’ll hopefully get to witness the aurora dancing spectacularly across the night sky. Afterwards, you’ll be treated to a traditional Finnish pastry and hot berry juice before returning to Arctic Panorama Resort.

Day 3 » Husky sledding
Having experienced the thrill of snowmobiling and a reindeer sleigh ride on the previous day, today you’ll partake in another classic winter activity: husky sledding. A transfer will bring you to the starting point of your tour, where you’ll get to meet the huskies and be shown the techniques of ‘mushing’ (steering a sled) before venturing out on a magical journey through the snow-laden forests. As with snowmobiling, one person ‘drives’ while the other person sits (with a chance to switch roles), and there will be a stop for hot juice and cookies as you go.
Enjoy lunch at leisure and spend the afternoon relaxing back at Arctic Panorama Resort, making use of the complimentary sauna and Jacuzzi area. Or, you might be tempted to book an extra excursion, such as a snowshoe hike, ice fishing or ice karting. Later on, enjoy your final dinner at the Panorama Restaurant and take a look to see if you can catch another Northern Lights display as you round off an unforgettable Arctic adventure.
