While to some, the name L7 will forever conjure images of all-girl 90s grunge bands – remember them? – it will soon be a moniker with very different connotations. Yes, it’s time to put aside the teen angst and unfeasibly low-strung guitars and welcome, with open arms, a new luxury lodge to the far northern reaches of Finnish Lapland.
With just seven luxurious rooms, all decked out in classic log-cabin style, and surrounded by seven fells – you can see what they’ve done there – it promises to be a truly remote and intimate setting from which to enjoy a host of wintry activities. The likes of snowmobiling, husky safaris and snowshoeing will all be available, literally on the doorstep, while at night, with no light pollution to speak of, expect dazzling Northern Lights displays.
But, despite the lodge’s Ylläs-Pallas National Park surrounds, there’ll be far more to a stay here than adventure alone. Back at base, guests will enjoy delicious meals, cooked by their own chef and served by a personal waiter, while a traditional sauna and spa services are set to provide plenty of post-activity relaxation. It’s all a prelude to long, lazy evenings sat on sofas by a roaring fire, discussing the day’s events.
Wherever they are these days, we’re sure that the girls from L7 would approve…
L7 is due to open later in 2018. Speak to our specialists for more information and to include the lodge on your next Finnish Lapland holiday.
