Log-cabin cosiness paired with one of nature's greatest spectacles

» 3.5-hour excursion. Operates Jan to Mar

» Price from: £130

Head out to Brändön Lodge, just north of Luleå – a fantastic spot for viewing the Northern Lights, with a low horizon over the frozen sea and few artificial lights.

As you wait for the lights to hopefully make an appearance, your expert guide will explain the science behind the Northern Lights and provide a fascinating insight into this unique environment. As part of the tour, you'll also be treated to a fabulous two-course dinner in the cosy log timber restaurant, which is known for its excellent local cuisine and attentive service. After dinner, you're welcome to use the lodges lounge, tee pee tents and small huts, all with open fires, where you can stay warm while ducking out periodically to check if the Lights have arrived.
