Please note:
If you use the Vadlaheidargong tunnel between Akureyri and Myvatn/Husavík - it is subject to a toll. You will have to pay this toll online within a certain time before or after driving through the tunnel. For further information, please refer to www.tunnel.is. If the trip has not been paid for within the time frame set by the tunnel operator, the fees plus an administration fee will be either charged to the rental contract or collected after the rental from the customer’s credit card. The same applies for Thingvellir and Skaftafell National Parks where accessing the area with a car is subject to a fee. The fee is to be paid at payment machines in the park. If the customer leaves the park without paying, the customer will be charged the parking fee plus an administration fee.
