A historic and family-run hotel, Hotel Alexandra commands a beautiful location between Norway’s towering mountains and majestic fjords and has welcomed guests since 1884.
Eat
The hotel is known across the region for its excellent choice of restaurants, with venues serving tempting buffets and a la carte creations alike, all inspired by the surrounding nature. At Restaurant Andrine, menus showcase the best of the region's produce with fish caught fresh from the fjord a particular highlight. It's all complemented by a substantial wine list and wonderful views across the water. Restaurant Charlotte is another excellent option, with the nightly Alexandra Buffet serving everything from entrecôte, lambchops and marinated pork to marinated salmon, monkfish, scampi and scallops. If you're staying for two nights, it's well worth reserving a table at both.
