Day 1 » UK/Rovaniemi
Fly to Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland, where you’ll be met and transferred through the snow-dusted wilderness for a stay at the Arctic Treehouse Hotel. This designer retreat offers the perfect blend of traditional cosiness and Nordic modernism – the glass fronted guestrooms’ log-burning stoves and mock-fur throws setting the scene for spectacular floor-to-ceiling views out across the frozen forests. Take time to settle in before heading to the superb Rakas restaurant for the first of your included dinners – a celebration of local, seasonal produce. Expect the likes of king crab, salted-and-smoked reindeer, wild mushrooms and Arctic ocean fish.

Day 2 » Dogsledding & Northern Lights snowmobiling
Your adventure begins in earnest today, with two included excursions – both winter classics. It all begins after a hearty breakfast when, dressed in your include warm clothing, you’ll join your guide for a transfer to a local husky farm. Enjoy an enthusiastic welcome from your furry new counterparts before you set off through the wilderness, the yaps of the pubs giving way to the silence of the snowy forest trails. Driving two to a sled, you’ll have the chance to mush your own pack and sit back and enjoy the views, pausing along the way to enjoy hot drinks and snap a few photos. It’s then back to base for an early dinner, again at Rakas restaurant, before you head off again, this time swapping the barks of huskies for the roar of a snowmobile. It’s a truly thrilling way to travel as you speed along woodland trails with your guide leading the way, keeping an eye on the sky for signs of the Northern Lights.
