Sun Peaks Resort is located 34 from the city of Kamloops, in the scenic and popular region of Thompson Okanagan in British Columbia. With nearly 4,000 acres of terrain, Sun Peaks is the second-largest ski area in the country. The Resort is open all year round and also contains the highest-elevation golf course in British Columbia and a brand-new downhill mountain bike park. The Grand sits close to the chairlifts in a ski-in/ski-out location at the centre of the resort village, which is an easy 45 minutes’ drive from Kamloops and its airport.
Eat
The hotel contains a choice of three dining venues. Mantles Restaurant opens with buffet breakfast at 7am, with local ingredients and a 'farm to fork' philosophy to the fore on its lunch and dinner menus. Meanwhile, the adjacent Mantles Lounge offers a more informal menu until 10pm, as well as a wide range of drinks including a selection from local micro-wineries. From Wednesday to Sunday, you can relax in the hotel’s popular Morrisey’s Pub, with the opportunity to shoot some pool and enjoy some live local entertainment. The resort village is also right on your doorstep, and contains a host of alternative eating and drinking options.
Sleep
The Sun Peaks Grand Resort contains 220 rooms and suites, plus a range of one-bed or two-bed condo units on offer in the adjacent Residences. The simple Deluxe rooms come with one king bed or two doubles, with balcony options available and the opportunity to upgrade and give yourself a view of the surrounding mountains. All rooms include free WiFi and generously sized bathrooms. Kitchenette rooms are also available, with stove top, microwave, fridge and dishwasher, or choose the Mountain Suite for maximum space, with two bathrooms, living area, fireplace, and a balcony overlooking the slopes.

The Sun Peaks Resort is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, whether you’re skiing on British Columbia’s internationally-renowned powder in the winter, or playing the province’s highest golf course – 1,200 metres above sea level – in the summer. The hotel’s ski-in and ski-out location, plus the ski valet service in the lobby, make it as painless and convenient as possible to explore the resort pistes. Back inside the hotel, you can wind down by booking an in-room massage, or visit the extensive health club facilities, including a heated outdoor pool (with indoor entry), three outdoor hot tubs, a sauna, and a well-equipped exercise room.
