Congestion tax in Stockholm and Gothenburg: The congestion tax will be levied on Swedish-registered vehicles that enter or exit the city centre Monday to Friday between 6.30 a.m. and 6.29 p.m. No charge will be levied on public holidays or the day before a public holiday. Each passage entering or leaving Stockholm or Gothenburg will cost from SEK 9 to 20, depending on the time of day. The maximum charge per day and vehicle is SEK 60. Each passage entering or leaving Stockholm or Gothenburg in an Avis car will automatically be registered and debited. Due to legal circumstances 25% VAT will be added to the fee.
