» 4 day tailor-made break

» Price from: £1,080

This is an unforgettable break to Norway’s majestic Lofoten Islands – one of the world’s most scenic archipelagos. Between cosy nights in a traditional fisherman's cabin, you’ll have the chance to explore remote landscapes by RIB boat and kayak. And, at nighttime, an included tour, led by a local photographer-guide, will see you hone your camera skills as you chase the magical Northern Lights.

Day by day itinerary

  • Day 1 » UK to Lofoten Islands

Fly out, via Oslo and Bodø, to Svolvaer, where you’ll be greeted by emblematic Rorbu cottages flanked by colossal, snow-dusted mountains – your introduction to the spectacular Lofoten archipelago. Make like a local with a stay in your own red-painted fishing cabin, all white timber beams and log walls. We can arrange a gourmet three-course dinner featuring the likes of reindeer and signature stockfish in the historic Borsen Spiseri - a converted quayside warehouse.

    Stay: Svinoya Rorbuer, Norway

  • Days 2-3 » Svolvær

After cosseting nights in your cosy cabin, explore this stunning share of the Lofoten archipelago with a range of optional excursions. Perhaps you’ll get up close to majestic sea eagles on a RIB boat safari, or go one further with a sea kayak adventure on the islands’ serene waters. There’s also the likes of snowshoe hikes among icy forests and horse rides along sandy bays and past jagged ridges and the islands’ ubiquitous stockfish racks. What’s more, on oneevening, we’ve included an aurora hunt in the company of a local photographer, who’ll show you the best locations and introduce you to the necessary skills for capturing the Northern Lights on camera – make sure you pack your tripod!

    Stay: Svinoya Rorbuer, Norway

    Meals: Breakfast

  • Day 4 » Svolvær to UK

After breakfast, you’ll head to Svolvær airport in time for your return flight, again via Bodø and Oslo, to the UK.

    Meals: Breakfast
