Take in the icebergs, glaciers and waterfall icons

» 14-hour excursion. Operates year round.

Leave Reykjavik behind to showcase the highlights of Iceland’s dramatic south coast. Your expert guided will bring to life everything from giant glaciers and rushing rivers to iconic waterfalls and black-sand beaches.

You’ll begin with a complimentary pickup at your hotel, before turning south out of the city along a narrow strip of lush farmland that cuts between the glaciers, high mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. It’s a treasure-trove route, that includes stops at Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss – a pair of waterfall icons. The former is a particular highlight, where you can walk right behind its mighty torrents. Along the way, you’ll also take in spectacular views of Vatnajökull Glacier, Europe’s largest icecap, and Skaftafell National Park – a fairytale world of green valleys and cragged peaks. You’ll then arrive at Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. A true tour highlight, it’s sited among 14,000 square kilometres of rivers, glaciers and near-endless plains of sand. It’s all home to some beautifully varied birdlife, along with hundreds of icebergs, drifting along in brilliant shades of blues and whites. To explore further, consider an optional boat tour, before you’re brought back to your Reykjavik accommodation.
